Catching instructor, former player, and founder of Lonestar Catching — dedicated to developing elite catchers across the DFW area.
I've spent years behind the plate and even more years studying what separates good catchers from great ones. My background spans competitive travel baseball, high school varsity, college baseball, independent ball, and years of dedicated catching instruction — giving me a deep, technical understanding of every aspect of the position.
I started Lonestar Catching because I saw too many talented athletes held back by poor fundamentals and "old-school", cookie cutter coaching. Most teams practice catching as an afterthought. I treat it as the most important position on the field, because it is the most important.
My coaching philosophy is simple: master the fundamentals, develop your baseball IQ, and build the confidence to perform when it matters most. Every lesson is customized to where you are right now and where you want to go.
Playing Background
Catching is the most demanding position on the field. Every session is built around the unique demands of the position — not generic baseball drills.
Elite catchers are built on a foundation of sound mechanics. We drill the basics until they become automatic under pressure.
Every catcher moves differently. Your plan is built around your body, your strengths, and your goals — not a one-size-fits-all template.
The best catchers think two steps ahead. We develop the mental side of the game alongside the physical — pitch calling, game management, and leadership.
